more reasons to MEDITATE and PRAY…

A few days ago NPR reran this 5-part series on meditation and prayer that they did in 2009….part three is called Prayer May Reshape Your Brain….And Your Reality….definitely worth checking out!

Although this subject is fairly new to modern scientists, yogi’s have been studying the science of meditation, prayer, sound, setting intentions, etc for millenniums…!

When Shri Dhyanyogi Madhusudandasji began to do more of his meditation work publicly, especially when he came to the United States in the 70’s, that’s one of the things he loved to do….he loved to do experiments on how sound, pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation literally alter a person’s body, mind and soul…in ways that were tangible and experiential. He didn’t want to lecture people on the benefits of yoga, meditation and prayer…rather his motto was “Come, sit and experience for yourself”….because how to do explain what sugar tastes to someone when the best way is for them to taste it and experience it themselves.

Shri Anandi Ma, Dhyanyogiji’s spiritual heir continues his work here in the United States. She will be in Antioch, CA for the month of June and will be offering all sorts of amazing meditation programs, breath workshops and opportunities for satsang (in sanskrit, satsang means “in the company of truth”…so these times are questions and answers times with Shri Anandi Ma)…..these are amazing opportunities for you to grow and RESHAPE YOUR BRAIN…and YOUR REALITY….so don’t miss out! Planting our future meals

Envisioning our feasts I love this time of year; when all the envisioning we did in the winter, of the goodness we want to feast on during the summer months, goes into motion :). For the past few years, at the beginning of spring, the hubs and I have been starting our own seeds for […]
